GCSE(WIKI) relies on contributions from teachers and subject-experts. If you teach a subject at your school, feel free to contribute to this wiki for your students and thousands of others nationwide.

[edit] How to Contribute

This wiki uses the same software that's used in WikiPedia, and you can use this one like you have done for others.

To contribute, you can do one of three main things:

  • Improve a current article:
    • Go to Special:Categories for a list of categories that articles are listed in to.
    • Select the most appropriate subject - for example, "Science" or "Additional Science" if you teach Science.
    • Browse through the articles (they may be divided into sub-categories. For example: Biology, Chemistry, Physics for Science) and find an article which you think needs improving, or contains incorrect information.
    • Click the "edit" tab at the top of the article: Click edit.
    • You can then edit the article using Wiki Markup: image:edit.png
  • Write a new article:
    • Type the name of the article into the search box (on the left).
    • You'll get a message saying "There is no page titled...". Look for the link saying "create this page" and click it.
    • You will be presented with a box where you need to write your article. Everything you write in this box needs to be Wiki Markup.
    • If you're stuck for ideas, visit Special:Wantedpages to see the most requested pages.
  • Help students and other article-writers by discussing with them. On nearly all pages in this Wiki, there will be a discussion tab at the top. Students can ask questions here, and writers can suggest improvements for articles. Again, you must use Wiki Markup when writing.
